Because accidents and emergencies don’t make appointments, our Emergency Department (ED) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Health Tips & Info

When you arrive at the Emergency Department, you will immediately be attended to by a registered nurse and triaged according to the international triage guidelines to establish the nursing and medical interventions needed. Triage is the process of assigning priority in the Emergency Department based on the measurements of certain symptoms in the patient and the presence of certain key factors in the history. You will be assigned a colour, Red, Orange, Yellow or Green and managed accordingly.

The patient is suffering from a life-threating condition and requires resuscitation or immediate attention

The patient’s condition is serious and a doctor will attend to patient within 10 minutes

The patient’s condition is less serious and will receive attention after red or orange-coded patients within 1 hour

Acute primary-care type conditions. Patients will be attended to as soon as possible, within 4 hours
