Bacteriology

Isolation and identification of bacterial pathogens that causes important human infections including intracellular and arthropod-borne bacterial. Bacterial antibiotic susceptibility tests are also performed to identify antibiotic resistant bacteria and determine optimal therapeutic options.

Chemical Pathology

The use of bodily fluids such as blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluids to investigate biochemical changes in the human body to diagnose and monitor diseases.

Clinical Haematology

Responsible for the diagnosis and management of a wide range of disorders relating to red blood cell, white blood cells, platelets, and the coagulation system.
