Dr Ernest Kwamina Addison was appointed Governor of Bank of Ghana by the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in April 2017. Addison has spent over 25 years working in the public service, with a focus on Economic Development, Monetary Policy Formulation and Implementation, and Macroeconomic Surveillance.
Governor Addison has demonstrated strong leadership, management and policy skills, and inspired confidence and credibility both within the Bank and throughout the financial sector. Accordingly, his tenure as Governor was extended for another four years by the President in 2021.
Under his leadership, the Bank of Ghana has gained several plaudits in the pursuit of prudent monetary policies to achieve price stability, as well as the comprehensive financial sector reforms in 2017 to 2019. The reforms have since strengthened governance and supervisory frameworks, and repositioned the financial sector to undertake its primary role of financial intermediation.
These successes have won him and the Bank of Ghana many international and domestic awards, including the best Central Bank Governor of the year in Sub-Saharan Africa by the Global Markets and the best Central Bank of the year by the Central Banking Awards in 2020.
In addition to his Governorship role, Dr. Addison served as the Chair of the Board of Governors of the IMF and World Bank at the 2020 Annual meetings in Washington DC. He is currently a Co-chair, of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), a Regional Consultative Group for Sub-Saharan Africa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana International Bank, and a member of the Ghana Cocoa Board, among others.
Addison holds a degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, a Master’s degree in economics and politics from Cambridge University and a PhD with specialisation in monetary economics and economic development from McGill University.t Lead Manager of the Ghana portion of the Ashanti Goldfields share offer, which resulted in the listing of the then AGC on the Ghana Stock Exchange. As Chairman of the National Communications Authority, the Ghanaian Telecommunications regulator from 2004 to 2009, they initiated the formulation of the first Long Term Mobile Licenses which reflected Best Industry Practice and met Global Telecom Standards.

Indren Poovan is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 24 years experience. Indren has gained experience within the Private Healthcare industry both in a South African context and in various other geographies. He has worked in South Africa, India, Cairo, Kenya and is presently based in Accra, Ghana. He has successfully coordinated and managed the activities of various departments pertaining to financing, structure and services.
Because healthcare is constantly changing and new technology is improving daily, he has ensured that he
keeps abreast of these technologies, procedures and healthcare efficiencies and advancements.
Indren has vast experience in translating an organizations vision and purpose into a strategy for execution. In addition, he is strongly business improvement focused and can orchestrate different team outputs to achieve strategic goals. He embraces innovation and is flexible in his thinking to create efficient and innovative solutions.
Indren has acquired a passion for developing healthcare focused companies in Africa to increase their footprint in their respective geographies and secondly to improve their ability to provide quality healthcare services at affordable prices with a mid to long term goal of achieving a financially sustainable operating model which delivers returns to its investors.
In addition, Indren has gained valuable experience in the design, construction and project management of
Greenfield Hospital Projects and has successfully completed 2 Greenfield Hospital projects ( Life Hilton
Hospital – Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and AAR Hospital in Nairobi). Both Hospitals were completed and are now serving the communities, providing jobs and contributing to the economy.

Dr. Osafo is an accomplished Physician, Nephrologist and Clinical Scientist, with over 25 years’ experience in Clinical Care, Research, Academia and Administration. Dr. Osafo’s career objective is to work with others to do good to humanity in any station of life. She has a passion for learning in order to help others.
She heads the Medical Department of the Bank of Ghana since 2018, leading her team of workers to implement the Bank’s strategic agenda of ensuring the wellbeing of the workforce for productivity. As part of her role she performs the job of the Medical Director of The Bank Hospital. She works with the executive management team to ensure the highest standard of quality care in the hospital.
She previously headed the Renal Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, leading its transformation and expansion from a 4-bed dialysis unit performing 240 dialysis sessions per month, to a 24-bed state of the art dialysis center. She also initiated and championed the first kidney transplantation program in Ghana resulting in the renal transplant program in Ghana.
Dr. Osafo has published extensively on hypertension and renal issues in high impact peer-reviewed journals. She has also participated in significant research projects looking into genetic and environmental causes of kidney disease in Sub-Saharan Africa, methods for diagnosing kidney diseases, and has taught internal medicine and nephrology to medical students at the University of Ghana Medical School.
Dr. Osafo has volunteered on some projects throughout her career and in that has performed awareness creation roles in the electronic media on kidney disease, rendered pro-bono medical care and screening to indigents, and supported charities on kidney disease. She is a founding director of the National Kidney Foundation, Ghana. Currently, she is the vice-president of the Ghana Kidney Association.
Dr. Osafo is an alumna of the University of Science and Technology (now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians since 2007, Ghana College of Physicians since 2010, and the International Society of Nephrology since 2005. She was awarded a Meritorious Service Award in 2002 for her service at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

He is a Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist and Women’s Reproductive Health Epidemiologist. In addition to being a Fellow of Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, he is also a Fellow of West African College of Surgeons and an honorary Fellow of American College of Obstericians and Gynecologists.
He graduated from the University of Ghana Medical School and completed his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana. He later obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Gates scholar and was admitted into the Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society.
Professor Adanu has extensive experience in the fields of maternal mortality and morbidity reduction, contraceptive use by women and cervical cancer screening and has served locally and internationally as a consultant in these areas. He served as the Dean of the University of Ghana School of Public Health from August 2012 to July 2018 and as the Dean he led a large number of research projects at the school. In the area of medical education, Professor Adanu has developed a number of interactive web-based educational material in Obstetrics and Gynaecology which are used extensively by medical students and a number of practitioners all over the world.
Professor Adanu served as the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics from 2014 to 2020. His research is in both the clinical and social aspects of women’s health. Professor Richard Adanu has served as a mentor for many Ghanaian and international trainees in both clinical practice and research career development. His research interests are epidemiology of obstetric and gynaecological disorders in Ghana, family planning, cervical cancer screening and maternal injuries.
Some of his previous international responsibilities include leading a consortium of 11 African universities to facilitate an educational mobility program funded by the European Union and serving as an external consultant for the Research Capacity Strengthening, Reproductive Health and Research Department, WHO Geneva. Professor Adanu is widely published in the fields of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Women’s Health with over 120 peer reviewed publications, several Editorial publications as well chapters in books and technical reports.

He was a founding director of Students Loan Trust Fund and also served on the Board of Economic & Organized Crime Office (former Serious Fraud Office) and Member of University Council of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He was the Greater Accra Regional Lands Commission Chairman and currently the Chairman of Board of National Lands Commission and a Director of GLICO General Insurance Company Limited.

GRACE AWOTWE
Grace Awotwe is a Senior Finance Professional with over 14 years’ experience in various industries. Her experiences include Financial Management, Accounting, Procurement, Business Development, Internal Control and Risk Management.
Grace started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) working in Ghana and Liberia. Due to her exceptional working ethics, she was ranked as a high performer throughout her career in PwC.

Grace has also worked in key positions at Goldkey Properties Limited and Scania West Africa Limited. Her vast experience includes the setting up of the Finance Departments of these organisations. She also has strong strategic financial planning skills and an ability to liaise with various stakeholders to maximise shareholder value.
Grace is excellent in providing coaching and mentoring to other young finance professionals both within and outside her organization.
Grace holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast and an EMBA in Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of ICA (Ghana). She is a proud old student of Wesley Girls’ High School, Cape Coast.

Grace Awotwe is a Senior Finance Professional with over 14 years’ experience in various industries. Her experiences include Financial Management, Accounting, Procurement, Business Development, Internal Control and Risk Management.
Grace started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) working in Ghana and Liberia. Due to her exceptional working ethics, she was ranked as a high performer throughout her career in PwC.

As Chief Operations Officer of The Bank Hospital, Francis ensures efficient operation of ancillary support and non-nursing clinical services. He collaborates with management to reduce operational costs, enhance revenues, and develop data-driven management decisions.
Hitherto, as Hospital Administrator for Nyaho Medical Centre, Francis optimized operations, ensured patient and staff satisfaction, and maintained regulatory compliance. His leadership fostered a collaborative work environment and improved patient experience.
In the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services, Francis held key roles such as Principal Administrative Manager and Officer In-charge of Insurance, enhancing administrative management and insurance coordination. His strategic approach and IT solutions improved efficiency and revenue generation.
