Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Internal Auditor to identify and assess areas of significant business and financial risks.
• Assist the Senior Internal Auditor to identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
• Support the implementation of best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit programmes.
• Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to the Senior Internal Auditor for prompt actions.
• Manage internal audit resources and audit assignments efficiently.
• Support the implementation, and maintenance internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice.
• Assist the Senior Internal Auditor in conducting ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.
• Perform risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes as per annual audit plan.
• Perform any other audit assignments as assigned by the Senior Internal Auditor.
• Constantly be aware of work process problems or bottlenecks that prevent the achievement of the Hospital’s goals, objectives, and targets.

Education and Experience

• Professional certification – ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, CISA, or CFE – Level 2 or Fully Chartered (desired).
• Minimum two years of work experience in an internal audit environment.
• Two years of IT auditing and data analysis experience desired.
• Exceptional accounting skills.
• Minimum of degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting or Finance (essential).
• Accreditation with the Institute of Internal Auditors (desired).
