Meet Dr. Emmanuel Ahiable, Our Resident Emergency Medicine Specialist
My name is Dr. Emmanuel Ahiable, saving lives is my passion as an Emergency Medicine Specialist.
I am originally from Anloga in the Volta Region, but I was born and bred in Sunyani in the Bono Region.
I am married to Brenda with two daughters and a son. I am a practicing Christian.
I had my secondary school education in Sunyani Senior High, then proceeded to Cuba in 1983 until I qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1995. I have done my post-graduate education in Health Services Planning and Management at KNUST. And finally specialized in Emergency Medicine from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2017.
I have worked in the Ashanti Region since 1997 – 2017 as a medical officer in Tepa Govt Hospital and Asante Mampong Municipal Hospital as a medical superintendent.
I was posted to Greater Accra Regional Hospital in 2017 as an Emergency Medicine Specialist and also acted as the HOD until 2021.
In GARH (Greater Accra Regional hospital – Ridge), I was the Case management Lead for COVID-19.

- Humanitarian Award Global 2021, as a COVID-19 Hero for Exhibiting Exceptional Leadership and undeniable sacrifices for Humanity, 18th September 2021, Accra.
I am a provisional facilitator for WHO, Basic Emergency Course. I teach Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Primary Trauma Care (PT) courses.
I am currently the Emergency Specialist at The Bank Hospital.
