The Bank Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Launched
The Bank Hospital, your top-quality health care provider is proud to announce the official opening of its state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The Cath Lab was launched on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Bank Hospital premises in Cantonment, Accra under the theme, ‘Strengthening Hearts, One Patient at a time’.
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Bank Hospital is a procedural theatre where minimally invasive tests and procedures are performed to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. The Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by a highly skilled team of cardiac specialists, interventional cardiologists, and nurses who are experienced in performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
The launch was held to inaugurate the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, and to inform the public through the media that the facility performs Cardiovascular treatments and however, are open to every individual, and not limited to the private insurance card holders.
The event featured the hospital’s CEO, Mr. Indren Poovan, the Medical Director, Dr. Charlotte Osafo, the Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, a Director of the Board, Prof. Richard M. K. Adanu, the Cardiologists and some reps from the media.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank Hospital, Indren Poovan, said that the theatre marks a significant milestone in their commitment to advancing cardiovascular services and improving patient outcomes.
“With this advanced facility, we aim to deliver the highest standard of care to patients with cardiac conditions in our community and beyond”, he added.
For her part, the Medical Director of the Bank Hospital, Dr Charlotte Osafo, noted that dealing with the emerging risk of cardiovascular diseases required proactive measures such as provision of comprehensive cardiovascular health policies and building the necessary infrastructure to offer the required services. She added that the Bank Hospital has taken the bold step to be among the pioneers in the country to offer comprehensive management of cardiovascular diseases.
Concluding his speech, the Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Nsiah Asare charged management of the Bank Hospital to make services available to all at competitive prices in order to help achieve universal health coverage.
